Pres campaigners get up or get out of SC

After what went down in Iowa, Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry have opted to cancel their campaign trips through South Carolina while Mitt Romney will be hitting the streets with Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. John McCain.

The Iowa caucus has given the GOP presidential candidates a big dose of reality causing some to back out of a South Carolina tour while others are jumping in full speed ahead.

A report by the Pensacola News Journal says both Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann have canceled campaign trips to South Carolina while Mitt Romney has picked up SC Governor Nikki Haley and U.S. Senator John McCain and will be making stops along the coast.

Remember when Texas Gov. Rick Perry launched his campaign in South Carolina? Well after his fifth-place finish in Iowa, Perry has but his planned stops across the state this week on hold saying he’s returning to Texas to decide “whether to continue his campaign.

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann had at one time made a serious splash around South Carolina, but after her finish at the Iowa caucus, her plans to visit Fort Mill on Wednesday and then go to Greenville, Spartanburg and Fort Mill again later this week have been cancelled.

Meanwhile, the Spartanburg Herald Journal says that coming off his narrow victory in Iowa, Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will campaign with Gov. Nikki Haley and newly announced supporter Senator John McCain on Thursday in Charleston and Friday in Myrtle Beach.

The three appear at a rally at Charles Towne Landing in Charleston on Thursday. On Friday, they appear at a rally at the Peanut Warehouse in Conway which a favorite stopping place for candidates.
