James Metz is accused of killing his girlfriend of 8 years.

They say a picture speaks a thousand words. If that’s the case, this mug shot of an accused killer could tell an entire saga that allegedly unfolded between he and his girlfriend.

A report by FOX Carolina says a woman was shot to death, and her boyfriend was arrested Thursday night.

Anderson County deputies said the shooting happened about 8:45 p.m. at a home on Chestnut Boulevard in Centerville.

Deputies said they believe the shooting may have been related to a domestic dispute between 49-year-old James Walter Metz Jr. and his 34-year-old girlfriend of eight years.

Metz was taken into custody, where he took this raging mug shot, but deputies have not determined the charge he will face.

Investigators with the coroner’s office and the sherrif’s office said that the woman was shot, and that there will be an autopsy performed today.
