NC man wins $200k for not being lazy.

Here’s some news that should make us all a little less lazy.

Frustrated his receipt didn’t print, a Grover man went inside VJ Express in Blacksburg to get one. His extra effort paid off.

While inside, he said to the clerk, “Heck, give me one of them,” pointing to the $10 Big Dollar Doubler instant ticket.

With his receipt and lottery ticket, he headed back to North Carolina.

He returned to South Carolina the next morning to collect $200,000.

The winner told lottery officials he scratched the ticket at work. Left startled and shaken, the winner and his wife spent a sleepless night trying to sort it all out.

“I was getting gas in South Carolina where it’s cheaper and I could save a buck,” he said.

He saved more than he planned.

As of this release, two top prizes of $200,000 remain in the $10 Big Dollar Doubler game.

The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 288,000.

VJ Express received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
