The Clemson Tigers have done it again. They defeated the North Carolina Tarheels 59-38 to give them an undefeated record for the season.
Clemson took on UNC at home at Death Valley and the home town spirit helped many of the star players really shine.
In a report by WIS, Tajh Boyd tied a school record with five touchdown passes, defensive end Kourtnei Brown scored on interception and fumble returns and No. 8 Clemson improved to 8-0 for the first time in 11 years.
Some other records? The Tigers (5-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) again put on an offensive display with 450 yards as Boyd matched Cullen Harper’s 2007 mark. Brown became the first Clemson defensive lineman to score a pair of touchdowns in a single game in 57 years.
And, all of this on a day the school celebrated the 30th anniversary of its 1981 national champions. It’s no surprise “national champion” was on the minds of many fans today…old and young.
